Hi, my name is Dr. Jacob Hendendrickson
at Crystal Grove Chiropractic and today
I wanted to show you what lower back or
lumbar spinal decompression tables look
like and how they work. Right now we
have Karina set up on the lower back
decompression on our Triton
decompression tables. And right now her
lower back is strapped in and so are her
is her upper body so that she doesn’t
get pulled down the table. Now, it’s a
very, very light traction. And what
spinal decompression is doing is it’s
slowly stretching the spine in these
isolated areas to open up the joint
spaces and take pressure off of your
discs and nerves. So, if we have your
vertebrae that’s essentially being
squished like this, we’re trying to
stretch it. And this will help with any
disc herniations or pressure on your
nerves. These rooms are very spacious
and very comfortable. And they have
extra seating in case you want to bring
a family member with you. But also, if
you’re in here by yourself, these tables
all come with a button that shuts the
machine off. If you’re uncomfortable or
you don’t like it, it will turn the
machine off. And then at any point, we
also have a doorbell system that the
patient holds and they hit that button
and it signals. There’s a large doorbell
at the front. signals us to come in and
let you off of the table. Or when the
table is done, you hit that button. So,
at any point, you have someone that you
can call to help get you off of the
table, whether the table’s finished or
you simply just feel uncomfortable.
However, most people don’t ever feel
uncomfortable and they really really
love these because of how much it’s
